Welcome to Diagnosis

The last month has been completely surreal. It’s made me stop and realize that as epic as my life has been, I’m not immortal. And the hardest pill I’ve had to swallow is that the next six months of my life are now on pause.

What I haven’t shared via the highlight reel of social media is that I’ve not felt good for sometime. I chalked it up to simply overworking and over traveling. I should of known then that something wasn’t right, there is no such thing as over traveling, lol.

On Friday, August 10th, I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. When I received the news I was in total shock, almost expecting them to tell me they had made a mistake. The last two days have been a hard adjustment. It’s incredibly tough to put your life on “pause” even for 6 months. Granted I realize that 6 months compared to the rest of my life is going to be a breeze but still it’s something I have to cope with and process.

Please keep me in your prayers, keep my family in your prayers, and my friends who let’s face it are family. We need all the prayers we can get!

Over the next six months I will be documenting and vlogging this incredibly scary adventure here as well as sharing via my social media accounts, which will be listed below. Make sure to SUBSCRIBE to our channels to stay updated on this incredible journey. This series is going to be very raw and very real.

  1. Michael, my name is Susan Waller, Daniel McDade’s mother. I’ve been praying for you since Brittney told me about your diagnosis. You’re also on the prayer list at First Baptist Church Union. Stay strong in faith that God is the Almighty Healer and He will be with you through all your struggles.
